#RRBC’s 1st Day of the BETHANY TURNER “PAY IT FORWARD” WEEK!

…and guess who I’m promoting today, BETHANY TURNER herself!!!!

 For those of you who aren’t familiar with Rave Reviews Book Club or RRBC, simply click to get more information on “THE” absolute-hands down-best ever-book-club in the world!  Yes, that would be us! We are continually creating more and more great programs to Profile, Promote and Propel our member-authors, and this one is no different.  So, sit back, relax (keep your feet off my furniture, because it’s not that kind of house) , and let me tell you a little about how this program came to be!

One day, while going thru my massive stack of email, I notice one from a member, Bethany Turner.  (I remember the email being so kind, so sweet and so very thoughtful).  Bethany explained to me how she had been enjoying the support that she was receiving from her fellow Rave Reviews Book Club members, and how she wanted to give back, or as she put it, “pay it forward.”  She went on to share that she wasn’t good at promoting herself, but she sure as heck enjoyed promoting others.  She said she’d planned a full week of selfless support for others, giving up on all self-promotion during that time.  The reason for her email to me?  Well, I was being invited to serve as one of her chosen few to be promoted during that special week!  Each day, she would put a different member up on her blog and promote the heck out of them for the entire day.

I was so moved, and so humbled by her attitude of caring and giving, that it got me to thinking:  I’d like RRBC to do something like that, but on a much larger scale (I mean, our membership is over 500, you know!)  

Not wanting to “steal” someone’s idea, (although I’d heard of “paying it forward” in lots of different arenas before), I reached out to Bethany, explained to her how I wanted to implement this program within our club, and asked if she wouldn’t mind if we used her idea.  Of course, Bethany Turner being Bethany Turner, had no problem “giving” us her blessing to go ahead with this project.

I, once again, so moved by her generosity and kind heart, went a step further with Bethany.  I informed her that we also wanted to name the program in her honor!  Do I really need to tell you how pleased and moved she was?  I didn’t hear it, I didn’t see it, I didn’t even feel it, but I’m sure this was her reaction on the other side of my email….

So, all of that brings me to today.  Today is the first day of RRBC’s BT “PAY IT FORWARD” WEEK!  There are approximately 50 members participating in this awesome event, so if you see someone relentlessly promoting someone else, they’re probably an awesome RRBC member and they are also probably participating in our “PAY IT FORWARD” WEEK.

I was assigned to promote Bethany today, but since this special lady is already serving in the RRBC “Spotlight” this week, I’m just going to direct you to her page.  While you’re there, please, leave her a comment (especially thanking her for this great idea), LIKE her page before you leave, and definitely share it on Twitter, Facebook and all of your other social media forums!  She is one who continually supports others, so, why not help me out today, by supporting her.
