All We Ever Have Is Each Other #Inspiration @NonnieJules @RRBC_Org @RRBC_RWISA @Tweets4RWISA #RRBC #RWISA

It’s Sunday – and as I sit on my bed, computer on my lap desk (working), I’m hit by an overwhelming sense of loving and supporting – the need to continually help my fellow authors become the best they can be… to be successful and to shine as bright as the sun on a beautiful, hot summer day.  I have an extremely busy schedule, day and night; and in spite of my tight circle of fellow RRBC members pushing me to rest, I’ll admit to working long hours with very little sleep. (Sorry Team).  I try to rest, but my mind just won’t turn off.  The wheels keep spinning and whispering, “What can you do next to push them even higher?” I joke with my husband that I’ll rest plenty when I’m dead (and I will). But there is this innate need in me to pick up the slack of support, where I see it absent on another side. Something inside me, won’t let me stop.

Aside from my “job” which I love, I’m behind the scenes daily promoting and pushing the members of the RAVE REVIEWS BOOK CLUB, as well as the other authors in my community of support. I suppose I’m hoping to inspire others to spend more time supporting instead of taking support, or making excuses as to why they can’t give more, or in the case of some, give at all. (Excuses:  worn out tools used to build monuments of nothing).

RRBC was founded on the premise of support and we have never wavered from our stance of one supporting another; and we never will.  Some may get tired of hearing me preach SUPPORT, SUPPORT, SUPPORT, but although I’m just as tired of repeating myself and sounding like a broken record, one by one, the light comes on inside of someone new, and they jump on board the support train! Yes, some who were once sitting at the train station watching all the cars go by, end up driving the train!  The support bug bit them hard, and oh, when that happens, it’s a wonderful sight to see!

I know that we’re not always satisfied with who we are or how we are, but today I’m optimistic that just as I do every single day, each of you strives to be a better version of yourself than you were the day before.  In my mind, I’m accepting that each of you really wants to do more for others… to give more to your neighbors… to support more even when you don’t get it in return.  Some of you do a really great job of this, and some of you just suck at it.  {Yes, I said that, and without so much as a teeny stutter.}  I’m not speaking to those who are dealing with life-altering or other life-changing circumstances; I’m speaking to those of you who get online to support yourself, and yourself only. WE ARE ALL DEALING WITH SOMETHING. If you can spend time supporting you, you are just as capable of spending time supporting others.  And, let me remind you, support is more than just sending out a few tweets.  Drop by someone’s blog, read their post, LIKE their post, leave a comment and then share it to social media.  Follow someone’s blog tour and do the same.  Host another on your blog.  These are just a few ways that you can give more in the way of support of others.

I love music… and although I love the kind that gets my toes tapping and pulls me onto the dance floor {or into the foyer of my home}, I love music that inspires, uplifts, and fuels fire inside.  Today, I want to share my current mood with you in this song called NEVER GIVE UP, because in the end, all we ever have is each other.  Let’s commit our lives to lifting and supporting others.  Believe me when I say, it doesn’t take much to support others, and what you get in return feels a hundred times better than anything you ever spent time putting out.  I would never ask you to do something that I haven’t first done myself, or, something that I don’t do on a regular basis. Supporting others is a constant in my life and I hope that if it isn’t already, you’ll soon make it a constant in yours, as well.

(There’s a special note at the end of this post so do read to the end).

If you need, a hand to hold
I’ll be the first reaching out you know
Good or bad, winding roads
I’ll be right there and I won’t let go

‘Cuz all we ever have is
Ever have is, one another
So let’s promise this
Never give up on each other

Yeah – on each other

We all know, there are days
Mountains to climb and battles to face
So it’s good to know that when we fall
Someone will catch us cause after all
All we ever have is
Ever have is, one another
So let’s promise this
Never give up on each other
All we ever have is
Ever have is, one another
So let’s promise this
Never give up on each other

(Never give up, Never give up)

On each other

(Never give up, Never give up)

I know that you need a hand
You know that I understand
We’ll never give up never give up never give up on us
I know that you need a hand
You know that I understand
We’ll never give up never give up never give up on us

All we ever have is
Ever have is, one another
So let’s promise this
Never give up on each other
All we ever have is
Ever have is one another
So let’s promise this
Never give up on each other
So let’s promise this
Never give up on each other

Starting tomorrow, I’m bringing you something special here at WATCH NONNIE WRITE! I’m ending the month with a bang and I look forward to you joining me!

Thanks for dropping by!

I’m not sure I know the song but the words resonate. Sometimes we do need a pep talk because life can get in our way.

Thank you so much for always supporting all of us here at RRBC. You are the personification of support.💕

  3. Once upon a time, Nonnie, you wrote something to the effect that a candle loses nothing, neither heat nor flame, by lighting another candle. That speaks to who you are and who you always will be. Exhausting though it is, while some wicks take a long time to ignite, I have no doubt that you will refuse to stop lighting candles until each one within your sight is burning brightly. You are an inspiration!

    • Karen, yes, A CANDLE LOSES NOTHING BY LIGHTING ANOTHER CANDLE, is one of my favorite quotes, although I cannot claim credit for it. My own personal quote similar to it is “A tiny spark ignites a flame, just as a helping hand can do the same.” I live by both. Both speak to support. Actually, my quote above rests on many, many pages around the internet alongside Martin Luther King, Jr, Barack Obama, Mother Teresa and The Pope. Organizations are even using it, so I suppose it resonates with many. Simply copy and paste the quote from here onto Google and you’ll see how many searches it yields. It’s so overwhelming, it’s humbling. Maybe the one thing I’ll leave behind is the desire for others to always, always want to uplift and support their fellow man and to teach their children to do the same. If I don’t succeed, at least I know I tried.

  5. Hi, Nonnie. I love this post, and I love the lyrics of the song you included. Another song that’s always moved me and reminds me we’re in this together is Lean On Me. There is nothing more uplifting than lifting others up. Thanks for this.

    • Hi, Patty! I love LEAN ON ME, too. It’s one of my favorites, although I haven’t heard it in some time. Thanks for dropping by to support 🙂
